The Women's Empowerment Forum
The Power of a Woman Series is designed to support a dialogue and a call to action and is based on five pillars that will be critical for creating an environment where women are empowered for change. These pillars are Politics, Education, Health, Business and the Media.
The Power of a Woman series is based on a foundation of “conscious inclusion.” It is a bipartisan effort and will include generational inclusion, racial, ethnic, and cultural inclusion, inclusion of young adults and males. We are ensuring our panelists and speakers are truly representative of the women and men who believe in and support women’s empowerment.
This series has tapped into a deeply-rooted need that many women have to contribute to gender-salient issues and to have their voices heard. Our goal is to provide a platform for many organizations who do this work to come together, share resources, and use combined efforts to strategically push forth policies of fairness and equality.
DETAILS ABOUT THE NEXT FORUM, POWER IN HEALTH, WILL BE POSTED SOON.

Power In Politics - January 21, 2017
Thank you for attending The Power In Politics Forum on January 21. We'd love your feedback. Please send your thoughts to thepowerofawomanseries@gmail.com.
EVENT DESCRIPTION
The Power in Politics forum will be a high-tea featuring a series of bi-partisan panels speaking to the need for more women to get involved in politics. Women are still vastly underrepresented in government and the past election did not result in more women being added to Congress. There is currently a surge of interest in women running for political office. There is also interest in preparing girls and young women for political leadership roles. Many of the women at the forefront of these issues, as well as men who believe that our country will be better as women are more visible in political office, will be speaking at the Power in Politics forum on January 21, 2017 from 2:30 p.m. - 6 p.m..
#GirlPower
Girl Power is a program that will run simultaneously with the Power in Politics forum. We have a structured program designed to give the participants an opportunity to identify an issue that matters to them, develop a campaign, and advocate for their cause.
There will be snacks, friends, and fun. Bring your favorite girl!
